John Burgess is a San Francisco Bay area photographer specializing in editorial and corporate portraiture. John brings his expertise in location lighting to transform an ordinary scene into dynamic, graphic images. He understands the need to make adaptation in style to fit each subject.

John was born and raised in California, graduated from U.C. Berkeley and played as an outdoor education instructor before returning to San Francisco State to pursue a career in photography. John lives in Santa Rosa, CA, raising a glorious daughter with his wife, writer Mary Callahan.
